I have set up a business in Singapore and immediately afterwards received an email asking for my details in order to submit the company name on a companies register. It appeared as though this was a Government company register and although I did not sign up for any of the other services on offer, I did provide my email address. I have since received an invoice for S$490 for subscription fee. No where in the process of submitting my email was it made clear that by doing so I was agreeing to pay an annual subscription fee. I have tried to contact the company and emailed to understand what the cost is for and why I am being invoiced when I have not entered into any agreement but cannot get a response to my questions, only an auto-reply email. I have also emailed to cancel my "subscription" and the response has said that I can only cancel one year from the date of the email which means another annual subscription charge. On all accounts this company is deceitful in their conduct.
