Rather foolishly, I signed up for membership on a website called fling.com for $59.95 on 12/6/13. After checking my credit card statement over a month later, I saw that, in addition to the 12/6 $59.95 charge, I had also been billed $39.61 on 12/11/13 and on 1/9/14 by epoch.com, the same company who charged me for fling.com.

When I asked billing at epoch.com what the two $39.61 charges were for, they said I had agreed to sign up for another website (meetlocals.com) when I signed up for fling.com. I had no idea that I had agreed to that. If it was written on the website when I joined, it must have been in fine print.

When I complained, they refunded the 1/9/14 $39.61 charge, but refused to refund the December charge, even though I told them I had no idea I had signed up for it and never even used the other site. I do not believe they even asked me about joining the other website when I joined fling.com. They were purposely deceitful in their business practices.
