I recieved an email from cash advanced payday loans. It stated that I had been approved for a $2500 loan. The email contained an attachment stating that the payments for said loan were $295 amonth for 10 month, all I had to do was call +1-210-399-7963 (their verification department) .I spoke to a man with a heavy accent Mark Williams. He already had my credit score and banking information, account number and routing number. We discussed payment dates and he told me since I had a low credit score, I needed to prove I was financially sound enough by putting a payment on a green dot cash pack to verify I would be able to make the payments. I got the cash pack and put the money on it. Once that was done I was instucted to give him the number on the back of the card. He thanked me and told me the loan would be deposited in my checking account in 45 minutes. Fotty five minutes came and went, no loan. I called them back, and was told the financing department was having problems verifing the greendot money pack, but my loan would be in my account monday. I became suspiscious . I contacted green dot and the money had already been removed from the money pack and that it could not be recovered, since the money pack is treated like cash and I had given them the number to access it. But no money was supposed to be removed from the money pack. I then tried to call back to speak to mark again and all I got was a recording. Upon further reasearch I discovered that this company goes by multiple names and has settled at least one class action lawsuit to the tune of 18 million+ I have already contacted a lawyer and am looking into starting a lawsuit here in Louisiana
