I received a call from 559-328-2394, Ilene Fernandez, saying she was with the Department of Legal Affairs for the U.S. Treasury. She said the following:
That she needed to speak to me about a very important issue.
That I need to take immediate action because enforcement actions have been started against my name.
I need to contact her immediately at 559-328-2394.
She hopes that I take this seriously and that if I wait it could cause big legal problems for me.
I think this is a major scam. I can't find a Department of Legal Affairs associated with the U.S. Treasury. Does anyone have any info on this?
Update: 01/08/2014
Steve Sebastian answered saying Dept of Legal Affairs. Told me he represented IRS said I owed taxes from 2010. Asked if I had received a CP503. Told him taxes were filed on time, I knew this was a scam , he hung up.
