In March of 2012 I called Comcast because I had a delinquent bill on my credit report and I wanted to pay it off. I was given the amount and paid it over the phone using a Mastercard.In May when it had not cleared off of my credit report I called them back and asked them why. I was then told that I had not paid it. They started a trace on my money and said that it had been applied to someone elses account at that same address. I had to pay my bill again in the amount of $238.20 again in order to get this taken off my credit report because I was in the process of being approved for a mortgage. I was told my Comcast that I would receive a check in the mail for the first amount paid. To this date I have not received anything in the mail. I have called them more times than I can count and repeatedly told that they would look into it since the bill was no longer in their computer system.
I have returned to Spokane twice to visit and have each time gone to the comcast office where I was told that the manager was in Seattle at a meeting and not in the office. They refused to help me in any way.
