Received phone call, while downloading software from Microsoft, claiming to be working for Microsoft and that they had detected corrupted files in my computer that could be damaging for myself and others that I contacted. They offered, for a fee, to clean up the problem and provide ongoing services. Fee varied according to number of years contracted for. Paid by personal credit card. Credit card security intercepted the transaction and advised me immediately by phone that this was a fraudulent transaction.
