This man started talking to me on Christian Mingle he is a sweet talking man. Said he was in love with me, he has a daughter Brenda that is soon going to college and he is an electrical engineer. Then he asked if we could talk off Christian Mingle site because he found the woman of his dreams and didn't need to search anymore. We talked for a couple days he said he had to go to South Africa for a job but when he got there the truck that was carrying the equipment was in a bad accident and the truck caught fire and burned the equipment. He had it insured for theft but not fire and needed $3000 dollars to buy more equipment and asked if I had it. I didn't have $3000 only $700 but I thought I would help since he promised to give that back in a week. But I had to send it by moneygram to a person with an African name. I started to back out and even went on line to see if I could do a background check on Richard Harper which is what he said his name was once we got off line. I also had my daughter look up the other name we couldn't come up with anything on Richard but she said the other man was a worker at this engineering firm. I asked all kinds of other questions and he answered them but got frustrated with me. In the end I sent him $700 and the cost of sending the moneygram. Now he asked me to give him my checking acct# so someone can put money into it and then I can send another moneygram to him. I refused I said that is too scary so he asked that I set up a Bank of America account and give him the number. It again threw up red flags but I still didn't want to believe it. Then I checked for Christian Mingle fraud and there it popped up in front of me the same scenario.
Again I want to thank the woman that put her complaint out there. I'm out of money to pay my heating oil but at least I won't be committing fraud. He also sends wonderful love songs.
