A young man came around our neighborhood selling magazines to help him get to Italy. The name he gave me is JAMES DUREN. He played a good game, similar to a psychic reader, picking up on my interests and finding similarities. I told him we didn't have any money right now because my husband has been unemployed since April and that we were waiting on a check to come in October. He tried to get me to ask family member's for their credit cards to us. I refused. He told me that I could write him a check and post date it. I didn't see any harm in that, as long as they took the money out on the date i wrote on the check we were good. I could wait until then for the magazines to come. I did after all pick magazines that I was interested in. Anyway on September 8th I get a call from the bank. 2 checks went through which put my account in the negative. I went up to the bank to find out what charges I could press against the company only to find that by writing a post dated check, I was actually preforming an illegal act!!! WOW!! And it was this young salesman's idea for me to post date a check. The company is allowed to cash the check as soon as it is in their possession. So I wonder how many others this young man scammed. So out came the money and I thought "well, at least my magazines will start coming"... NOPE! No magazines still and it is almost November. You can't call the company. You can go to their website and send an e-mail. They have a convenient spot to type in your receipt number... Only to hit enter and find an error page over and over again. I also tried MTS Circulation LLC only to find the same problem. SCAMS! Don't feel sorry for the people that come to your doors selling these magazines. They are trained to manipulate you. I happen to have a big heart and I fall for things far to easy. Does that make it fair to take advantage of me? What a bunch of jerks! DON'T ORDER!!!
