Also received green card stating $20,978 DOE upon calling in a release code. 1. since there was no return address - I didn't respond. 2. ANYONE can claim they want to notify you about a government dispersal - it doesn't mean they actually have one for you. 3. if they did have money from the government - there would NOT be a deadline. 4. ANYONE can quote a US Mail Security regulation (real or not) to make it appear their correspondence is legit. 5. I crossed off my name and address and forwarded my card to the "PostMaster MAIL FRAUD" for possible mail-fraud across state-lines, in the hope the PO might investigate and shut the jerks down. Bottom line - ALL the warning signals were there: "If it sounds too good to be true - it is (a scam)!"
