LiveCareer offered an online Career Aptitude test & potential access to a resume builder. I signed up for the service & paid the $34.95 fee with the reassurance that I could "cancel anytime if unsatisfied" with the service. As soon as I completed the test, instead of being able to see any results, there were 30+ pages of spam ads for various online career colleges. After clicking through the ads, I received an error message that said site was incompatible with my device (iPad). I couldn't load any pages other than the school ads--not the resume builder, the test results, the customer service link, or even the previously available test questions. I had to do a web search for the company to find a way to contact their customer service. I emailed them asking to cancel my subscription because I was unable to access the service. (I had been a "member" for roughly 30mins at this point.) They took two days to respond, and after a few back-and-forths the rep finally agreed to cancel the monthly subscription fee, but refused to offer a refund even though I'd never received the aptutude test results and was unable to access any pages on the website other than the spam ads.
