  • Sam, go to your bank and ask them to put in a dispute. Tell them everything you did, and what you have just said in your post.I have put in a dispute. The more disputes put in by banks, the more chance we have of getting something done, and our money back.My bank actually put the $300 back into my account while the dispute is ongoing. These dodgy sites need to be shut down or be more transparent and accountable. Go to your bank, please.

  • Thanks for that, i am glad i was not the only one suckered on this one! I did go to me bank almost immediatly to try and stop the payment but as it was still listed as an 'electronic' (not the business name) it meant they had a 'hold' on the money and the bank could do nothing to retrieve it at that time. they did advise i dispute the transaction as soon as it officially gets taken, which i absolutely will do! Can't afford to not - unfortunately i understand that process takes approx 30 days and with Christmas closures that is likely to be extended which doesn't save Christmas, but reassuring to think i may get it back. Have also contacted Fair Go, Fraud Office, the Commerce Authority in Wellington etc to name a few, sounds like there are almost 40 official complaints lodged with Wellington.

Would love to see these bastards shutdown and held accountable, as a single m um who works full time, it infuriates me to think that these people who clearly have too much time on their hands, are likely the recipients of my hard earned tax dollar as well (no disrespect intended to genuine people who receive benefits!)

  • Michelle, did you go to your bank? I have just recieved a form to fill in to send back to the bank. I do not think anyone can actually contact Mydealsave, I sent 2 messages from their "contact Us" and heard nothing back. They do not have a phone number or valid email address, there is no other way to contact them. I doubt they even GOT my messages at all. They look to be only going as a business sometime only this year. They are also known as 'VIAZIZ'. Who knows either, if anyone does win an item at their site they might bid on? The bank said if it is proved fraud, then my card will be cancelled and a new one issued. It certainly is deception, all of us were deceived into thinking we gave our card numbers for in case we wanted to buy bids in the future. And, there was NO confirmation of purchase, NO "thank you for your purchase", and NO email receipt. No receipt at all. This so called company should be shut down. Your bank KNOWS who their bank is, my bank got my transaction and date etc from them. So that is why people must put in a dispute at their bank, immediately.

  • Hi all, ok update from my end of things. Went to disputes with the bank, posted away all the information I had from here which at that stage was 13 complaints, and also other info from another site, police lodged complaint etc. This is the reply I recieved. We have reviewed all the information that you have provided, dut ti the rules and regualtions set by the schemes we as a bank are unable to intervene in this dispute. We recommend that you contact the merchant to resolve the matter. So for me no chance of a refund, im so gutted.

  • When I called into the bank last week to find out if anything was new, the disputes people via the phone call from the lady at the bank that it clearly states in their terms and conditions that by entering your card details you are agreeing to the purchase of bids, so thats basically what the bank have based their decision on. I tried to explain that yes u r agreeing to buy bids but they are on a seperate page and I never entered that page, but it didnt matter they just wont listen.

  • I have recieved a similar letter. It would have been a life saver to get the money back however i have resigned myself to the fact that it is gone and have had to re budget etc to account for it as i am sure you all have. Don't know what else to do? It is tempting to revisit and try and bid and try and at least possibly win something but am too scared they will hit my bank again!

  • NO ONE has to my knowledge, been able to contact this company. That in itself should be illegal.I have just received a second lot of paper work to send back to the bank where I have put it under dispute. So I don't know how things will work out yet. Will let you know, when I know. Plus, how can we work it out with the company when we cannot even email this company?
