SCAM!!! Was called by Steve Dickerson of Grovewoid referrals in response to an online loan I made. Was informed I was approved for $5,000 loan with 7% interest but it required a $500 fee for the loan which would be reimbursed when the loan was paid off.I was "guaranteed" loan money would be deposited on next business(Friday) since Thursday was Thanksgiving. On Friday I contacted my bank to check if money had been deposited. Since a deposit had not been made as "guaranteed," I contacted Steve Dickerson whom stated that the "lenders" had made an error and that the loan required an additional $700 for insurance. Again this was a fully refundable amount and since the lenders had made an error they would be assuming the other $700 dollars on the insurance as a courtesy. Following that I was informed that the original lender had rescinded on the offer but that there was another lender willing to fund the loan however the remainder of the loan amount would need to be paid. Steve Dickerson stated that as a courtesy they were willing to accept $500. Needless to say no loan was funded and no refund received. I was promised a refund within 48 hours. I asked speak to the "finance dept" and other departments that had been mentioned in various conversations but was told it was impossible. At one point the phone was answered by someone disguising their voice to prevent me from speaking to Steve. This morning I have attempted to contact Steve again but the phone is out of order. All along loan agreements, contracts, guaranteed letters etc... were emailed to me from this scammer. It was his way of appearing legit. I need my refund as promised.
