I was contacted by a person who said their name was Eric Fagundes located in Maine and that he was part of a hiring team for Proctor and Gamble. He said he found my resume online and that I was a perfect fit for their position. He first asked me to download Yahoo Messenger so that we could conduct the first interview. After a lengthy interview he said that the company would be in contact with me. I ignored the obvious grammar, spelling, and writing mistakes and dismissed it as someone using English as a 2nd language.

The next contact was made by them texting me from a New York number on a Saturday morning asking me to be online for the interview results. They said that I scored very well and they were ready to offer me the position. When I asked "what position am I being hired for". They said "what position did you apply for?" so then I started asking more questions about where the building was being built, what specific duties would I be responsible for, and when was I going to meet face to face with a P&G employee. They ignored every question and said I wasn't allowed to answer any questions until the interview was over.

After pursing the questions further they said that the building was being place inside a local cemetery!!!! At this point of the "interview" I used another computer to research complaints registered about this kind of scam and ran across no less than a dozen.

At this point I called out the "interviewer" and grilled them on details which any employer would have no problem answering. All I got in return was them saying " My friend go and sleep".

They asked for Name, Address, Phone #, Age, Sex, and location, so that they could send me checks and office supplies so that I could carry out my duties. Be aware of this scam and do your research before doing ANYTHING with something that sounds like this.

  • I too am 'IM'ing with him right now and glad I saw this post. He is taking me thru the same routine of questions and now is asking how I want to be paid and about my bank and credit card info. When I said that would be given upon being hired he said 'just the bank name' - which I gave him an OLD bank account name that the account is closed and refused CC info. I also looked up and contacted P&G Global Security while still IMing him about this and will save the IM session and email to send to them. Another tip was the generic Gmail background to his pic AND (if you look thru his profile) one of the pics is him (or someone) with their shirt off. :)
    This is obviously a scam!
