I contacted Delvin via a website search fro McAfee as I wanted to process a refund. The Indian guy who answered the call didnt say he wasn't from McAfee and the asked for access to my computer to take McAfee off it.

In the process he showed me how compromised my computer was and told me I had 6 hackers in my computer, 3 Hackers waiting and lots of malicious files - he said I had an insecure IP addrerss and that the amount of junk files infections errors and warnings damaged apps etc were a sign of compromise and hacking and that he could install Anti-Hacking Software - for a cost of course.

I have an Australian based honest person who then logged into my computer and reviewed the systems running and then took me thru a Malware Scan - I found 2 files that were malicious.

It is amazing that people dont idenfify themselves as not being McAfee - he was still going to process my refund.... and in the process csam a person with limited IT skills / knowledge.

Disgraceful and unethical behaviour and the worst thing is McAfee doesn't want to know about it either.

Watch out - especially the older less savvy consumers theree are companies out there just waiting to take you money after they dupe you. Don't know how they sleep at night.
