I visited what I thought to be a reputable website, which was actually recommended by another company. There was an offer for a free trial of the Ultra-Slim Cleanse and the Lean-Slim Cleanse, for USA approximately $10.00 for the two bottles, which was to cover postage. I waited for the products to arrive. Only one product arrived, the Lean-Slim Cleanse, the other bottle never arrived.
I went to my bank account to check my balance and I noted, that without my authority, Lean-Slim Cleanse, or Colossal Direct had taken from my account $170.00. I immediately telephoned my bank and asked them who authorised such a payment to be made, as this was only supposed to be a free trial, I was not purchasing the product. The bank suggested I get in contact with the company, which is what I did on the 24th October. 1-866-942-9990. I spoke with a woman there and explained to her that I had not ordered any further of their product, except the free trial. I said to her that the product had not even arrived in the UK as yet so how was I to evaluate it, to see if I was going to place and order. She asked me did I read the small print which said if you do not contact the company within 14days we will assume that you are placing an order and the funds will be withdrawn from the bank. No where on that site did I find out how much the cost of the product, besides the free trial offer would cost. She said she would approach the corporation and see about a refund, and in the mean time she would send me an email verifying that I had in fact cancelled the order, or any future orders. I said to her, why would I purchase this product, not even having received the free trial offer as yet. She tried to tell me the product was in transit.
I think this is a terrible way for a company to make money on unsuspecting consumers, by defrauding them.
I have yet to telephone them back tomorrow to see what the outcome would be. My bank have told me they will help in anyway possible to get a refund of the money which was taken from my bank account.
One of the problems is, that reputable companies are allowing Leanslimcleanse to advertise on their sites, without knowing the full facts of what this company are doing. I am sure it will damage the reputations of those companies if they were to discover they had been involved in this obvious scam.
