I was approved for a line of credit through why not lease it. Their company pamphlets are very generic and only stated that I needed to have a checking or saving or debit or credit card plus valid Social security card and valid photo ID. I decided to go and get a new Tv through my local sears and went through the process and got to the point of setting up the recurring payments only to have the sear associate tell me that it would not accept my debit card. I'm thinking what the heck is going on it did not and does not state a specific kind of bank or debit or credit card so why is mine not working is what I wanted to know and so did the sears associate because whynotleaseit does not have a plan for such things and the associate has nothing to do but say come back another time. They need to update the brochure to include what banks they are comfortable with using and include that it will not allow SSI recipients because I had a friend who tried to qualify and he was not accepted.
