They took out £70.00 out of my account and when i rung them up they said it would take 2 weeks to go back into my account and my argue was they were quick enough to take the money but not quick enough to put it back they have really annoyed me and i will be ringing them everyday to get my money back

  • Hi Lilly i have the same problem. They took out £70 from my bank account. I have to call my bank visa dispute team tomorrow, you should do the same too......its day light robbery im livid

  • Section 155 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 provides that a credit-broker may charge no more than £5 for his services if the consumer does not enter into a relevant agreement within six months of an introduction to a prospective source of credit or hire. If the broker has already charged more than £5 for his services and section 155 applies, the excess must be refunded to the consumer upon request.

  • Lily,Benjy. Same problem! I've phoned them I went absolutely mental, they hang up on me. I've phoned again after consulting my friend lawyer. He picked same act as you Benjy. But the charge they apply to your account is not a service fee. I'ts membership fee. Anyway! Second conversation went a bit more peaceful and they are willing to give my money back once I'll send them cancellation letter. According to them they sent txt to my phone saying that they will charge my account (for membership). But I'm sure never got it.I'm also sure I did't pass my details to them. So all we can do Lily, is to send those letters and wait for refunds. My friend said to phone the bank, order new card and make them aware of that company. In my case bank cancelled all the charges from their side. My friend is going to check all their legal therms. So maybe we'll be able to shut them down if is more of us.
