This sttarts with a Jobs add. I applied for the job and hot an Offer of Employment mail, very professional writen and including original UN forms and documents, which are available form UN sites. They even have a web page, that almost does the trick: unedc.org.
You get a job at the UN, they promise a very good income, and then you have to go to New York for a training, very well organized. Then for the VISA arrangements they hire a company, usually in China, that will help you get the visa for the USA. It costs arround 1,000 to 2,000 US dollars. you have to pay and put the money in an account in CHina. That is where I stopped. If you read any UN site, they state that they do not require money from any empleyee or participant in any internship.

- Hello there. I also have received a newsletter with a logo of UNEDC. And had an employment offer (Beijing, China) just like you have experienced. Although I never got to the payment part for the visa. This concerns me because I have spent a lot of money for the medical examinations. I just sent my entry medical examination form today and I am still waiting for their response. I did some research on the organization. And there was non listed on the official UN webpage. what I always see is a webpage with a lot of Chinese characters. Please help. I'm worried.
