Something went wrong with my iPad. I could not access the internet first and then I couldn't get into anything on my iPad. I called Apple Support and was routed through several people in tech support before finishing someone who informed me my iPad had a virus. Also, my iPad warranty would not work with this problem and I needed to pay for the fix or buy the Apple warranty.
Both were $149.99. (I have since learned that Apple has no tech support care that costs that much.) So, I did that and had my iPad fixed using my computer to back it up. Afterwards, he told me that I needed a virus barrier for my iPad, and that it would also cover everyone's devices and computers in our home. It was called Techzilla. This would cost $99, but I would get a rebate. (Can't remember why) I let the security lapse on my computer and unknowingly accumulated many viruses. I called Apple support and was informed that they don't use any 3rd parties for any of their devices, my tech support should not have cost anything since I had 4 months left on my warranty, and he never had heard of Techzilla.
There has been no rebate form in the ail and nothing work so any of my devices. What happened? Did someone in Apple have a deal with Techzilla? We don't have extra money to spend and loosing $250 is no small thing for us. I believed the person I was speaking with, as I was led to believe it was through Apple. The customer support person I spoke with had no record of any of this. And I called the same number.
