I met him on match.com. He immediately wanted to switch to yahoo messenger. He said it was the last day of his match.com subscription. He claims to be a Canadian fashion photographer who lives in San Pedro, CA, just bought a house at 215 west Amar street, San Pedro, CA. Claims to have a 7 year old son named Alan who lives in Canada with his disabled grandmother and that he is a widow. He was on his way to Kenya for a 2 week photo shoot and would be flying back on Kenya airlines November 2. While on the photo shoot, he claims there was an accident with the equipment and people got hurt. He was fined by the company and had to pay the police 4,500 before he could get paid. I sent him 200.00 to get him by and on Oct. 31 another 500.00 to pay the fine. When he "got to the airport" they wouldn't let him board because he didn't have a work card and they wanted 2,000 dollars to give him one. I was the only one who could help him, would I please get a loan and not leave him stranded there. I said "no" and he got angry and hurt. I looked up the pictures he sent me and found two of them on a romance scammer site using tyneye as ones used to scam other women. I also plugged in a poem he sent me into google and it came up so many times, I was flabbergasted. He uses the same poem for all of his romance scams. He has a facebook account under the name of Vince Joseph with pictures of him. Funny thing, that should have been a red flag, all of his "followers" are Nigerian. Of course I wired the money Western Union which is unrecoverable. This man needs to be stopped. He is very good, sending me a picture of his check from his job in Kenya and even a confirmation from Kenya Airlines that looked absolutely legit. He calls women baby and beautiful. Claims to have fallen in love with them and promises to take care of them. Says he has been a successful photographer living in Asia for the last 7 years and is ready to settle down. He is able to call using a San Pedro phone number, but when you call the phone, someone who doesn't know him answers. The only personal information he knows is my cell number and my address without the apartment #.
