I got a call from someone of East Indian culture. He stated that my computer was at risk and needed attention. They charged my credit card for $207.00 and when I got my bill it was charged from some construction company from where or what I do not know. When you try to call them for help they are never available and do not pick up the phone. I would get calls from people that said they were Thomas Smith, David Watson, Nick Garner,Berry, Harry. The numbers that they gave me were: 315-636-0922, 1-888-485-9001, 1-204-647-6983, 1-204-646-0647. When I tried to call them back I would get a message that the line was no longer in service. I had to replace my credit and debit cards, monitor my calls on caller ID. My bank suggested that I call the BBB and notify the local authorities in hopes of catching these criminals. Now they keep calling me and telling me that they are with Microsoft Security Essentials. I called Microsoft to verify and they stated that they never make calls to consumers like this. I know I got scammed and I have learned the hard way. Do not trust these people if they call you they are crooks! I now will be having a local in person computer security company monitoring my computer and will probably be replacing the one I have for fear that they could be hacking into my current one. They continue to call and harass me and my family, we will most likely be changing our land line number because they are so annoying. These people prey on the innocent hard working people. JUST BE AWARE!
