Similar scam as others reporting of winning a contest one never entered. These scum steal legitimate business names such as Lions Gate to make themselves look credible. A promise of $50,000 as long as you pay some kind of tax or tax substitute. They send you a bogus check, with another legitimate company name or two. Generally 3-4 different company names and addresses accompany the offer along with out of country addresses and phone numbers. A request for money sent in non-traceable methods is always another clue. The check will bounce. Meanwhile the victim has sent thousands before it is realized.
