My computer had an annoying popup from Optim registry which was somehow connected to Systweak from the phone number listed with this registry.
When I asked about having it moved, I was told to reinstall and then uninstall. This did not work and I was told to allow them to connect to my computer. I did and the nightmare began. i was told there were numerous problems which caused freezing, slow running etc. I was told for $98 I could have them clean my computer and all would be well. Needless to say, I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I explained that I did not want them tricking me and this had better be a legit company. I was assured that they are gold partners with Microsoft, recommended by cnet. I followed their work which was only to last three hours, however they stated that they would phone me if there were problems. Never received a call or voice message. Five and 1/2 hours later they just went off line. I called them and was told it was done. There was no change if anything it was worse. I called back and it is apparent they out source as the tech's were difficult to understand. I was then given to a supervisor that was very mean spirited and difficult to explain how I thought their work was crap. So hear I am. Please note my dissatification with the people at systweak.
