I found this person online as we wanted to adopt a corgi puppy. Seemed legit and sent the money to Michigan, then the craziness began.

OMG!!! . I am so sorry i was not informed about that OK . I never
knew that the puppy needs insurance before they can have him shipped .
If i knew , i swear i would have let you know about it . The
ownership papers of Njango already show your names as the new legal
owner and that is why the agency had to contact you about the
situation Ok . You now have full responsibility over the pup so please
don`t be over worried as this can be fixed Ok . By the way , i see in
the mail that the funds will be refunded back to you upon delivery to
you at your home address . To be Frank with you Lori , we are very
poor and can`t afford that much . I am a 43 year old house wife with 4
kids at home to look after .
I equally understand that you may not be able to come up with all the
amount but we can work something out as soon as possible so that
Njango can take for your home Ok .
I understand how you may feel right now my dear but please just keep
in mind that you will have Njango home today . All i need from you now
is that lets do all our best to collaborate with agency so that they
can proceed .

So, the bad news is that I am out $250, the good news is that I didn't pay the $990. This woman operated under several names:

Michelle Buel
Pamela Jeanne Bendele
29 E Julian St
Coldwater, MI 49036

She texted me from 301-778-7619

emailed from [email protected]

The phone number that called me allegedly from Pet Airways was 801-682-4167.

They gave me an address to pick up the puppy as 271 W. Centre Ave, Portage, MI. I called the Portage MI police, and while this is a valid address they had never heard of the company or woman whose names I had.


Big fat SCAM - lesson learned!
