I pretty much knew that the immediate reply to my refrigerator posting on CL from Whitt Dannielle (I'm sure a made up name), and subsequent emails stating that he/she was going to pay me an extra $500 for shipping was bogus. Of course he/she had to arrange for their "Pick Up Agent" (another obvious signal) to get with me for pick up and delivery. So I responded again, and that's when Michael Crawford of Rediff Shipping Company contacted me via email. Such a quality fake...I'm actually a little impressed by the professional look of it. Anyway, of course they wanted the $500 for the shipping, that was supposed to be in my PayPal account already. And there's the catch...I received another email (automated by these idiots I'm sure) stating that my recent PayPal payment transaction from Whitt (or witless as I have affectionately renamed him/her) is frozen until Rediff (Michael Crawford) receives the $500 for the shipping.

I've posted on CL for some time, and these responses never cease to amaze me, but what really amazes me is that there are still people that fall for the scam. Anyway, below are some of the PayPal and Rediff emails, all fake, for your amusement...I really want to find these people (I hear Jamaica is the current hot spot) and take every bit of their assets and help as many charities as I can. And make them work cleaning up our highways, or some manual, demeaning, labor.

You should have received the payment confirmation mail from PayPal by now as well as the mail from the Shipping Company, so kindly check your mail box carefully including your Junk and Spam folder and get back to me asap.

For those reading all this mantra I posted....Yes...I had a little fun messing with these idiots. And my fridge is still for sale. "It's a quality item." Seriously, I hope no one else falls for this scam by Rediff. We all work hard for our money, and so should they.
