Placed first order on 8/11/2013 through Google Shopping. Received item on 8/24/2013. Placed 2nd order on 8/25/2013 again through Google Shopping. Received email on 9/13/2013 in the morning stating that I would be billed $29.99 for a trial membership for a service called, "CostCaptain Premier Membership."

Supposedly this service began the day of my first order on 8/11/2013. I responded that I didn't want the service at 12:56 pm CDT the same day (9/13/2013). Nothing had ever appeared in either order about any membership and fees. In the afternoon of 9/13/2013, I received notice by email that my second order had shipped.

They responded to my cancellation of the membership request by email (supposedly someone named, "Shanna") late that afternoon the same day, 9/13/2013 at 5:08 pm CDT that my request had been received for cancellation and that since 30 days had passed I would be automatically billed for the service. I responded that same day that I wouldn't accept the billing. On Sunday evening, Sept 15 (9:04 pm CDT) I received a response stating that my request had been received. On Monday, Sept 16 at 1:27 pm CDT I received an email response stating that I would receive a partial refund. I responded that night that I would only accept a complete cancellation of the charge. Then on Tuesday, Sept 17 I received an email from Shanna that a request had been submitted for a full cancellation of the charge. But, there was no guarantee that they wouldn't bill me.

Also on September 17 I went to my bank and reported that my debit card number had been stolen. They took my card and told me that they would send a new one. However on September 19 a charge for $9.99 appeared in my online banking from CostCaptain. I hit the roof with the bank for allowing the charge to come through.

On Friday, September 27 I received another email from CostCaptain stating that they would again charge my account $29.99 for a "CostCaptain Premier Account." They also went on to say that my 30 day trial membership was up and I would not be able to get a full refund. I responded on September 29 that I had already sent them an email on September 13 saying that I didn't want the membership. They have not responded and they can't charge my account as my bank has (finally!) cancelled my card.
