I was planning on ordering an adjustable bed from adjustablebeds.org. As I was researching the base, a pop-up window appeared inviting me to name my own price (run by netotiate.com). I submitted a bid of $1826, which was accepted by Olejo, the owner of the website. The next day, I received an email that my offer was expiring. I placed the order and was supposed to receive another email confirmation. After several hours, I had received nothing, so I went back to the website and chatted with a support person. She told me that the margin on the item I was ordering was very low and that they would have to charge me sales tax, even though it says on their website that no sales tax is charged "on most items." I questioned this, and she said, this is one of those items we have to charge tax for. Yeah, right. How convenient. She said the lowest they could go was $2250...a full $424 more than the offer THEY ACCEPTED! It's a scam.... stay away from Olejo AND Netotiate. (I ended up getting the bed for $1840 from Atlanticbeds.com.)
