I called Mike's Valley plumbing to check out my clogged sink. They sent two guys out to take care of this problem. I was unaware at the time but they were charging me $120.00 an hour for each man. One of them just sat in the truck most of the time talking on the phone. While the other one did most of the work. After three hours the guy who sat in the truck most of the time handed me a bill for over $700.00. The most I've ever paid for a snaking was $150 and I felt overcharged then. He then had the nerve to tell me I needed another $5000 worth of work for re-piping. I got Mike mize the owner of the company on the phone. While I was talking to him he belligerently interrupted me and threatened me with his lawyers or better yet that he would pour concrete in my drains. I realized that there was no reasoning with this man and hung up the phone. I still haven't paid the bill and I'm waiting either for his lawyers or someone with a concrete truck.

Wait for a letter from him with a bill and if he phones you keep the conversation short and sweet, and ask for the written itemised bill to be sent to you. In your reply to him write:
I dispute the amount charged and consider it excessive and unreasonable, at no time did I ask for two men to be sent, and the work required (a clogged sink) was nominal, and at the most involved 20-30 minutes work. I consider your staff padded the bill by time-wasting, and showed a complete lack of professional behaviour and courtesy. I am willing to pay you the sum of |$120,00 dollars only, and refuse to pay anymore, my check for this full and final settlement amount is enclosed herein. I reserve the right to notify the authorities about your voiced threat/s to commit property damage to my drains by pouring concrete down them as an act of spite. Etc. Etc. . -
