I started a business whereby I would import products from China for resale. My customers required a reliable supply of electronic products at a reasonable price. After extensive research to find a competitive supplier of SD Cards for my initial order, I came across a supplier that advertised on three different sites (www.made-in-china.com, www.globalsources.com and www.alibaba.com). The name of the trading company was “Stone Beauty Technology Co. (SEE ATTACHMENT 1)
They had the products I require at competitive prices. I therefore contacted the seller and indicated my interest. They responded twice, first on 28 June 2013 and again on 10 July 2013. (SEE ATTACHMENTS 2 and 3)
On 12 July 2013, I sent US $33 by Western Union to obtain a sample (SEE ATTACHMENT 4) and I subsequently received an Invoice for this order. (SEE ATTACHMENT 5)
They sent a sample of SD Cards on 13 July 2013 by DHL with a tracking number 8997546832. A few days later we received the sample without any problems. After consulting with our customers, I contacted the seller and she confirmed that they could supply the products we required as per the sample they supplied. (SEE ATTACHMENT 6)
I was satisfied with the service and quality of the initial sample, so I went ahead and placed our first order on 19 July 2013 for 3000 Pieces of Micro SD cards. Due to logistics the order was split up into three different batches.
2GB Micro SD Card High Capacity/Quality - 1500 pieces
4GB Micro SD Card HC - 1000 Pieces
8GB Micro SD Card HC - 500 Pieces

I received Invoice Number ST20131229, sent by her on behalf of the company. (SEE ATTACHMENT 7A) On 19 July 2013 I sent the full amount of US $2,970 by Western Union MTCN 0567-015-8209. (SEE ATTACHMENT 7B)
Shipping by DHL was included in the cost as agreed on Invoice ST20131229.

I received two emails from her on 20 July 2013, (SEE ATTACHEMENT 8), where she says that the factory could not supply only 500 pieces of the 8GB card. I agreed to change the 8GB order to 1000 pieces instead of the original 500. She therefore requested an additional US $900 for the extra 500 cards.

On 20 July 2013 I transferred the additional US $900 by Western Union MTCN 177-028-5890 (SEE ATTACHMENT 9) as per replacement Invoice received (SEE ATTACHMENT 10)
The order was now for a total of 3500 cards to be sent by DHL in the amount of US $3,870

On 23 July 2013 I received an email from her indicating that there was a problem with the shipment via DHL. She said that they would ship the items with standard international post and that I would receive the items within 10 days. (SEE ATTACHEMENT 11)
After contacting her and once again agreeing to the new arrangement, she sent me a photo of the actual package with the China Post Tracking Number RB589499844CN. (SEE ATTACHMENT 12)
I tracked the parcel with the number she supplied. Everything seemed normal up to this point except for the fact that the order was now slightly bigger than anticipated and the shipping was with China Post instead of DHL.

While waiting for the initial shipment, we placed another order. This time it was for another 500 Micro SD cards. The order was for:
2GB Micro SD Cards High Capacity/Quality - 200 pieces
4GB Micro SD Card HC - 200 Pieces
8GB Micro SD Card HC - 100 Pieces

I received an email (SEE ATTACHMENT 13) from her on 10 August 2013 confirming the order in the amount of US $546. (SEE ATTACHMENT 14) I had to pay extra for DHL shipping and Insurance as this was a smaller order. She required an initial payment of 50% in the amount of US $273.

On 10 Aug 2013 I transferred US $273 through Western Union MTCN 888-739-7033 (SEE ATTACHMENT 15)
She sent me another email (SEE ATTACHMENT 16) on the same day saying that she made a mistake and required the full payment for the order. I therefore sent the remaining US $273 by Western Union transfer MTCN 560-160-7935 (SEE ATTACHMENT 17)
On 10 August 2013 she sent a short email confirming the order will be shipped.
Two days later, on the 12th August 2013, I received a new email with yet another problem. She basically required me to double the last order as the factory could not supply only 500 Cards. (SEE ATTACHMENT 18)
I sent the additional US $446, again through Western Union MTCN 331-228-8368 (SEE ATTACHEMENT 19) and was supplied with a replacement Invoice (SEE ATTACHMENT 20). She again emailed me (SEE ATTACHMENT 21) and said the factory made a mistake with the order. They filled an order for a total of 1500 cards instead of the agreed 1000 and would require an additional payment of US $598.
The final order for the second shipment was now for a total of 1500 Cards in the amount of US $1,590.

She again provided me with a replacement invoice for the second order (SEE ATTACHMENT 22) and I sent the additional US $598 by Western Union MTCN 343-056-7710 on 12 August 2013. (SEE ATTACHMENT 23)

She confirmed receipt with a short email on the same day saying “ok?????everything is ok
tomorrow give you tracking number”.

The following day, on 13 August 2013, I received another email (SEE ATTACHMENT 24A) from stating that they needed an additional US $200 for DHL Customs Clearance.

I eventually received the first parcel on the 13th August 2013, but it only contained two pieces of DDR RAM. (SEE ATTACHEMENT 24B) This was obviously not what I ordered. I immediately contacted her via Skype, but she insisted that there must have been a mistake by China Post.
She promised to investigate the matter further and would get back to me once she had more information.

On 16 August 2013 I transferred the final US $200 by Western Union MTCN 051-719-8712 for the second order that needed DHL Customs Clearance. (SEE ATTACHMENT 25)
She sent me an email confirming shipment of the second order, but it was again sent by China Post instead of DHL even though we paid for a courier service and also for DHL customs clearance. (SEE ATTACHMENT 26)

I again enquired as to the status of the incorrect first order. She said that it was a mistake by China Post. It would unfortunately take 30 days to reimburse the claim. However, if we paid her an additional US $800, she would send the products immediately via DHL as they had the items in stock already. I told her that I would not send any more money until I at least received the second order.

The Second Shipment arrived on 4th September 2013 and again contained the same two pieces of DDR RAM!
I again contacted her via Skype and unbelievably she again said that it was a mistake by China Post. Obviously I did not believe her this time and I insisted on a reasonable explanation and immediate shipment of my orders.
I have since been unable to contact her via any means. Her Skype account is blocked and she is not responding to any emails or telephone calls.

To date we have sent a total of US $ 5,693 for 5000 Micro SD Cards, all to be shipped with DHL. The only items we received were the initial samples that we paid US $33 for as well as the 4 pieces of DDR RAM that was sent with China Post.
