I received a letter with the letterhead indicating Walmart Home. The letter included a user id and password to become a participant and work as a consumer service evaluator (secret shopper actually). Also included was a check in the amount of 1,998.50 that had Walmart Home, 702 8th St Bentonville, AR 72716, vendor # 15690, date of check 09/21/13 check number 2450925 and Wachovia Bank, N.A. Charlotte, NC 28288-0013. Also, the letter has a stamped signature of Sam Caldwell, Director of Operations. However, the plain white envelope that the letter came in had (2)red stamps from Spain, Espana (Correos)and no return address. Walmart Company would not send an envelope without their brand being on it. The instructions were to activate the check via the website and then, deposit check into regular checking account. There are people who fall for this scam because they are seniors looking for work just as I am...that is the sad part.

- I got the exact letter and check in the mail just as you described, but I did not think nothing of it and thought it was a legit job. as for I have been filling out surveys online for some extra earnings, so I actually went through with the assignment then my jaw dropped when I saw my account being overdrawn.
