I have been applying to jobs all over... Especially on craigslist. I've known about the Security Guards scams so I know how to watch out for them... At least I thought I did..

So I saw this ad that read "OFFICE CLERICAL WORK" so I read it and it seemed legit.

Not only did I receive phone calls from a CELLULAR phone but the girl sounded as if she had food in her mouth while she left the voicemail. Her name as she said is "Ms. Simone".

I actually was desperate at the time and said (you know what, it doesn't hurt to try" so I went in. And everybody is dressed up... But I still had this gut feeling that it just wasn't right. They asked for $40 for a "background check" which since I was tight with money, hence why i was looking for a job, I asked peoples opinions on if it sounded legit. Most of which knew my situation and said "give it a try. You never know" so I went ahead on a Tuesday. They told me to come back on Saturday since the background check takes 3-5 days. And throughout that time I did my research on them. And what do you know?

They're a bunch of scams! Therefore I lost $40 and now I'm paranoid about my social security being in the hands of scammers.
