On the 20th Aug. I received a call on my phone,(at the time I was checking my emails)
He called himself John Lawson (but he had an indian accent & was hard to understand )he said he had connections with microsoft & could increase the speed of my computer because it was very slow.
I find the fact that they where monitoring my computer, bad enough but to have a unsolicited phone from them as well!
I should of hung up but because I have to wake up before 4 am in the mornings for work, my defences are not the best.I trusted that maybe they could speed up my computer.
This took a very long time ,maybe 2 or 3 hours by which time I'm getting more tied (it is about 8 pm at night)
When it can time to agree to a warranty period,they kept pushing for a life time warranty. I finaly agreed to a 2 year period for $199 Aust.
As I had not used my credit cards for so long, I forgot the details & they were blocked , so I could not pay for the service that night (20 Aug)
When contacted the next night by someone who was again hard to understand, they again pushed for a life time period. I told them that I had agreed to a 2 year warranty for $199 Australian.
After finally getting my credit card unblocked,( this took over 1 hour),I had the transaction submitted.
I have now just received my credit card statement for 2 transactions with kavishtechnosoft $149 US (20 Aug) & $249 US (21 Aug) + fees.
I have been contacted by a Nic Sanders (again with a hard to understand, indian accent)& given a phone number (0390187736) which does not connect. These call was before I received my credit card statement.
I have emailed this company but for this company which is all about software & the internet, they do not reply
