I am unemployed and have been very active on many job search sites. One day, I received an e-mail from a design company headquartered in Russia. The e-mail from them stated that they perform architectural redesigns for clients that are based out of the United States, but have additional offices in Moscow, Russia. My role with Design Plus would be listed as a Financial Manager. I would receive checks from their American-based clients and cash them in my local bank account. Once deposited, I would wire the funds via Western Union to the corresponding sales manager in Russia to complete the transaction. I would keep 5% of the monetary deposit as my pay. I received a total of 5 checks and after about 2 weeks, was notified by my bank that after a few attempts and re-deposits, 80% of the checks were returned as NSF. The money I had already wired back to the company was deducted from my checking account and left me with a large negative balance as a result.

I notified Design Plus of the problems caused by their customers and I received the following e-mail from Eric Davidson, the manager with Design Plus:

Dear Michael,
I can not believe it! Sorry so long in answering your messages! I promise you all to understand and solve the problem.
Right now I turn to the leadership and we know what it is. In the near future you will receive a check for $ 10,000 to cover expenses.
Do not worry we will not leave you in the lurch. I'll let you know as soon as I get new information! Keep in touch!

However, the assistance Eric Davidson promised has never materialized. I have been left to handle this unfairness by myself.

As, I am very sure this situation will never be resolved with the deliverance of the promises made by Eric at Design Plus, I can only warn other people not to take the potential income opportunity from Design Plus AT ALL!!!! I know times are tough economically. As much as this seems like a way to make money on the side as you continue to look for a permanent job, DO NOT DO IT!!!!
