I just got a call from an "Eric" with US Financial services telling me I was awarded a grant. I am going back to school and had searched a for a few grants, so I listened and the amount I was approved for $500 to $10,000 seemed pretty random (more like something from a payday loan company)that and they had no idea what I need the grant money for. Anyhow they called me they need to set up an account for me and they would be sending me my paperwork through the mail. To get the process started they would need $3.87 (One time fee), which is an immediate red flag no grant required up front money. Basically I told him I would send him an check from my bank and could I have the companies information. He immediately balked and said they could only receive the funds via a credit card (big red flag). Be careful they will tell you they are registered with the Better Business Bureau, funny they leave out the part about an F grade, I guess that would not help them in convincing people to part with their cc or debit card #. Do not believe the hype.
