rec'd call claiming I had won a 1,000 dollar on-line shopping certificate. Already had my name and credit card number just needed me to verify the account. Asked me several additional questions that I don't recall at moment. I do know that I did not authorize any charges to my card!
Received letter in mail on a Saturday(mailed out on a Thursday) and they do not operate on weekends so no one answered my calls to cancel. On Monday, I called and spoke to a "HOLLY" and told her I was calling within the 7 day cancelation period and was told that she could not just cancel the account because of some questions that were asked of me at the time of the initial call but, she could cancel for $199 dollars. I was extremely firm with her on the phone and told her she can and will cancel the account. She kept repeating herself and I again told her she will cancel account at no charge and then hung up.
They have already tagged my account for $39.90 which I don't know what for, something BENEFIT and the $49.50 pending.
I have also canceled my card and have blocked any calls from 423 area code.
