So I spent $200 (might have been more from memory) on a photoshoot for a portfolio. After weeks of 'hello what's happening with my folio' emails and 'sooo still havent heard anything' emails, I finally received it. And my god the editing was terrible, I'm no photographic jedi or anything but I know lousy editing when I see it. Regardless out of the 20-30 shots I received, I reckon 3-4 were actually usable, $200+ worth? I think not. I tried to send some properly worded 'what the (Inappropriate Content Removed) bro' emails but funnily enough the domain names weren't found. Would love to have words with the crew behind all this. So I decided to try out a couple of other talent agencies around Melbourne. The only advice I have after numerous 'interviews' with 'well established' agencies in very fancy looking offices in inner city establishments is, don't be afraid to question these people. If it sounds kinda sketchy, it probably is. Don't be afraid to say no. Remember, you're the talent. If you want headshots done, honestly I'd just get a friend with a DSLR camera (who doesn't these days) to get a few shots for you. Cos some of these 'professionals' are quite the opposite and it can be hard to tell for some. Anyway, on behalf of myself and anyone else who got (Inappropriate Content Removed) around by these clowns. ELESE MANAGEMENT I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU...
