A cold call was made to our home asking if I could speak for my husband's business. I said yes. They proceeded to ask if they could have a credit card # to charge our acct for services. I forcefully said NO! Then they said they would send me an invoice and said good-bye. 3 months later we received a bill for services plus interest charges, plus administrative fees! We called them and they claimed I authorized the service. They played a taped altered conversation claiming I said yes to the services. After doing some research we realized that this is a scam. Now they are calling again claiming to be collections and that we are overdue and we owe $938.00. They ended the conversation by saying that we would be turned over to 3rd party collections and would have a bad credit rating on my husband's business for the next 7 years. Unfortunately, we don't have any paperwork because we thought the issue was closed when my husband told them we didn't authorize the services wanted our name removed from the so-called business listing on the site. (Which by the way, has every other business in our area also listed, none of which were contacted for this service and are not paying to be listed on this same site.)
