On July 17, 2013, I went to my local Walgreen's and purchased a Moneypak loaded with $200 in order to pay a bill. After I waited the 15 mins and went to load the card to my paypal account (to use my paypal debit card) I got an error message stating that the moneypak number was invalid.

I called the number listed on the back of the moneypak, and after they asked me a series of questions (including questions about the behavior of the cashier and whether there was damage to the back of the moneypak) I was given a reference number and told to fax a copy of the moneypak and the receipt. I did that and waited the 7 days that I was given for someone to call me. No one ever called, so I called back. I was told that the fax was not received, and was given an email address. I sent the email and waited another 7 days. On the 8th day I called back and was told that the resolution was that I had given my moneypak number to someone for lottery winnings scam. That was complete crap since a) I don't play the lottery at all, so wouldn't have fallen for that and b) I loaded the moneypak for a bill. So I requested that someone call me with the information and the process tat was used to come to that conclusion. It has now been a month, and I have called Greendot 4 times requesting to speak with managers, requesting phone calls and no one EVER CALLS ME BACK. I want my $200 back or at least a better explanation of what happened to it. The 2nd person that I spoke to said that it appeared that someone got to my number before I could load it, and said that person's card was blocked....so what happened???

And Greendot, please do not respond to my complaint with the generic answer that you have given everyone else that complains. I have called that number several times and nothing happens, so at this point I am ready to file a small claims suit.
