I am filing this complaint for my mother. She has scammed by someone on the Internet named "Robert Potter." He convinced her that he loved her and then asked her for money so he transfer his gold inheritance from South Africa back to the U.S. He said he needed to get the gold tested, but needed the money first. He keeps promising that he will send her samples to get tested. So far, she has sent him more than $900 that I know of. It could possibly be more. I found a $900 wire transfer receipt from Western Union, which alerted me to this whole thing. Aside from email messages and phone calls from him, there was also an individual that came to Greensboro and met her. He claimed to be Robert Potter. This same individual also shows up on http://www.scambook.com/report/view/214460/Robert-Potter-Complaint-214460-for-$12,983.37 He has run this same scam on other women. My mother hired a private detective who found a lot of this info, but she still doesn't want to believe. I am now scared that something might happen to her and need some advice.
