I received an email on Aug. 19, 2013 from Apple Inc. <[email protected] via hawaii.edu telling me "Your email address won you a huge prize in the 2013 Apple Promo.Contact us to claim your prize immediately". I replied the email and asked if it was real and on Aug. 20, I received an answer from Ronald Johnson,
Authentication/Verification Officer (Tel. no.
+44 704 577 7828) telling me I had won 1,500,000, etc., etc. I was asked to fill in a form. I emailed them again and asked if this was a hoax/scam and did not get a reply.
I have been searching the Internet to find out if this was a scam and I'm glad I came across this. I have not spent any money on this.
Thanks,
Dillie
