I purchased a voucher from Tippr, just tried to redeem and received the following e-mail: How can a company be purchased and then the company that purchased them not honor the vouchers: Marie Montemayor replied:

Hello,

We want to welcome you as an nCrowd customer. We are pleased to announce that on April 19th, 2013 nCrowd acquired certain assets of Tippr and Groupalicious and now operate these brands independently of the original owners. We look forward to earning your continued loyalty!

Unfortunately, we understand that some products purchased on the Tippr site prior to April 19th have not, or will not, be honored by the Tippr merchants. We apologize for this inconvenience, but the matter is out of our control. This is no fault of nCrowd or the merchants. We have recently gotten word back from the vendor that they will be unable to honor these vouchers.

For your security aand in accordance with privacy laws, nCrowd did not obtain any transactional information relating to your account and therefore we cannot refund the credit card on which you made your purchase.

We recommend that you contact your credit card company/bank and file a chargeback in the amount you paid for the voucher due to non-shipment. However if you are unable to do a chargeback please let us know, we'll be happy to provide in-store credit equal to the cash purchase price of the voucher.

For your inconvenience, we have deposited $25 of Store Credit into your account. You may use this credit to repurchase the same product or any other offer on the Tippr by nCrowd site simply by checking the store credit box on the checkout page.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

We at nCrowd greatly value your patronage and look forward to serving you!
Jean
