Back around mid July I responded to an ad to receive Green Coffee Trim and Natural Green Cleanse if I paid only shipping and handling. I put my debit card number out there for $4.95 and $6.49 shipping and handling. I received both. Then I received a phone call from a young lady wanting to sign me up for a monthly delivery. I told her I was not interested. "Do not send me anything I have to pay to send back. Do not send me anything, period". Then a man got on the phone and wanted to "verify" my credit/debit card number "beginning with a "4" he said. I told him I didn't give that information on the phone and he said "my name is ___________ and my number is _____. I need to verify your credit card number". I told him again, I do not give that information over the phone. He got indignant and insisted that I give him my number. I hung up on him. A few days later I received another bottle of Green Coffee Trim which I had told both of them not to send. I later checked my bank balance on line and noticed that I had been charged $89.95 for the bottles I had received for shipping and handling only. I called the company and went round and round with someone there that was not very well spoken. She kept telling me that I had not canceled the order in time. I told her there was nothing to cancel because I told them NOT to send me anything else. I repeatedly told them that. She could not understand that. She kept talking over me and saying "you didn't cancel in time". What was to cancel? I told you not to send anything. Then she tells me that the shipping department and the ordering department are two different places and one doesn't know what the other is doing. I hung up in total frustration. I called my bank to have the charges refused. They told me to come in and sign a form - which I did. Well - the next day I got slammed again for $88.92 from the Natural Green Cleanse Co. in Florida. I went back to my bank to sign another form for refuse the charges. Now my bank says that because there is 4 pages of "conditions" from the Green Coffee people, I might not be able to refuse the charges. Long story short - I had to cancel my debit card and order a new one. I don't know at this point if I'm going to have to pay this or not. I'm sending the stuff back with an RMA number that I got after "pulling teeth" with those people. I don't know where they find these employees, but they are doozies. So now I have these three bottles of stuff that I will never use and have to pay to send back and will probably not get my money back. Hard lesson learned.

  • Same thing happened to me. I had to cancel my credit card and my credit card company has a fraud department that is looking into it. When I filled out the original form to order my free bottle and only pay for shipping, there was no clause that stated that I had to return them in two weeks or be charged $72.34. I found the form yesterday on line after hours of searching and it is the same form...except now there is a clause that is hightlighted and says that the pills must be returned within fourteen days bla bla bla. But, my credit card company is very good and I am hoping that their fraud department discovers something. They overnighted new credit cards to my husband and me. All I can say is that I used this scam to teach my thirteen-year old daughter to be very careful of FREE advertisements on the web. Always ask someone older if this free ad sounds legitimate. The best thing we all can do now is spread the word on our facebook pages and other social media that we were scammed and what happened. We have to be a voice that helps to stop this scamming. Hard lesson learned indeed.
