Someone called me from Techvedic and told me that my computer was infected with viruses and that they could fix it for me over the phone. I asked them how they knew this and they told me that they were affiliated with Dell Support, and like an idiot I believed them. They told me to go to my computer and to enter some codes at something called command prompt so I did and it showed me some sort of error log. They told me that for $199 they could log in remotely to fix it, so I gave them my credit card and let them do it. After about three hours of them working on my computer remotely I lost my internet connection and my tablet and laptop couldn't access my wireless anymore either! They said that for another $299 they would call me back the next day to help fix all the problems, but I thought something was amiss, so I contacted Geek Squad instead. When they came to my house to fix everything up they explained that it was some sort of telephone scam that I fell for, so after Geek Squad fixed everything back to normal I called the credit card company and they changed all my numbers but they got my money back.

  • Hi,

I called them yesterday when I was facing problems with the Windows 8.1 upgrade. I was assisted through the remote screen sharing where a technician looked into the Windows 8.1 problem details and offered a quick solution by configuring the BIOS settings. The update has fixed the previous glitches and the system is running smooth.

What I can conclude from my experience with Techvedic is that it’s a reliable technical helpdesk. However, I’m sorry for the kind of experience you had, but you need to check once again whether you got the right Techvedic, that I’m talking about. There is mushrooming of tech support companies and you might have got struck with wrong people trying to defame the techvedic reputation through fraudulent practices.

  • Hi

I'm totally agree with Alex. last week i encountered an issue with my laptop and it got freezes. I got stuck for a while then i got in touch with the Techvedic tech support team and they resolve my problem with in the couple of hours. I was very satisfied with their help and support. Now am going to approach only techvedic in future for issues. I feel sorry for what happened with you but may be you got a call from fake people who are trying to scandalize the name and reputation of techvedic. Even i got a call from a company they said that we are from 24/7 techies and after that they said we are from techvedic. when i called the real guys and support of techvedic they inquire me that we din't called you up!! Please beware of those such kinds of fake people and techvedic is such a genuine company with great tech support!!
