Complaint 26107 Details

I received a statement from a collection group -- RJM Acquisitions LLC, 575 Underhill Blvd., Suite 224, Syosset, NY 11791-4437 announcing my financial neglicence in the amount reflected above. This firm laid out three optional payment plans for me to consider:

Settle this account for $39.46 (a 50% discount); for $55.25 (a 30% discount) payable @ $16.83/mo; or pay $10/mo until the balance of $78.93 is paid. I shall be reported to Trans-Union & Experian if I don't respond by 11/19/2011.

Purportedly, I ordered (as listed on the reverse) and shipped on 3/14/2007:
a) Hannibal Rising; b) Silence of Lambs; c) Rachael Ray; Bret Contessa; Cocktails Galore; vy Pict Fram (?); Innocent Man-C.

I have no idea what they are talking about nor why it has taken over four years to address such an issue! I have had no dealings with these people in many years, and vow never to interact with them again! A book order I attempted in early spring of this year resulted in a cancellation and the return of their purported offer!

There are no such items within my personal library at this writing.

I thought, of all the mail order companies, this one was more ligitimate than most. Apparently not!
