This is a complete scam. They told me they were about to enter Davis as communications major and this was a part of their public speaking requirement. I was immediately skeptical because their is so no pre-comm major program at Davis and there is also no business major which they claimed existed. They tried selling us magazines so they could "win the trip to Italy". No University of California sponsors a program that lets kids sell magazines to win a trip to italy as an incentive to "do well in college", as they also claimed.

Extremely sad that these kids have to resort to scamming empathetic housewives for a bit of cash, but don't believe the story they're trained to tell you. If you ask them one question about UC Davis they will have no direct answer for you.

Long story short I told them to get out, you should do the same. Unless you want to spend 100$ on magazines you'll never receive.
