David Hazel from Postcard Records contacted me as he had heard our band on a web site.The band was offered a recording contract for a year. We were offered airline tickets accommodation and food. We were told that we would have to purchase an Affidavit from Emily Swanson at Princes Law Chambers London.We did some checking as coming from NZ we were along way from Scotland. There was a web site with Prince's Law Chambers which looked ok.After spending 692US dollars on the Affidavit we were then informed we needed crime records on all the band members.This was going to cost a futher 200US each band member.This is where we decided that there were things that were suspect and sounded like a scam. The emails from David Hazel and Emily Swanson the so called lawyer were the same font and same way of speaking.The so called Affidavit had spelling mistakes. I sent it to Her Majesty's Court Services which informed me it was not a true document. We also found this web site which had similar stories about a Michael Johnson. It sound like the same person.We have still been in contact with David Hazel and he insists it is not a scam and says if the boys send their passport details he will send the airline tickets. We do not intend to do this.We want to see this stopped and no more people fall into the same trap.
