On Aug 18th I ordered a mother of the bride formal dress from After5formals for $148.00 and $22.00 standard shipping for a total of $170.00 on my visa. I emailed them some measurements the next day and advised them of the wedding date set for Sept 17th and wanted to confirm that the dress would be here on time. they told me 22 days for the order to arrive. Two weeks prior to the weeding I became anxious and emailed them to get a status update. They told me that I should of ordered a rush order and that I needed to send them an additional $65.00 on a money pak. Well I went and bought the money pak and through the e-mail they accepted my 14 digit number and said thank you your order will come Federal Express. I asked for a confirmation for which they refused to provide, Only to state that the dress is now on rush order and to not worry it will be here on time. Two days before the wedding I was walking out the door crying to go look for another dress when he saw an e-mail pop up that had a tracking number on it. We tracked the number only to find out it was international regular UPS from China and sent to a lady in Tennessee. This was not my dress only a sick act from After5formals to try to appease me since I kept e-mailing them every hour. I did go buy another dress which cost me an additional $200.00 at a store. After5formals, in their e-mails told me that my dress would be here on or before the 16th of Sept. The wedding passed and on the 20th of Sept. a regular UPS truck attempted to deliver a 8X11, 2 inch in depth envelope. I asked if that was from China which he stated yes and I stated back that I would not accept it. I could see that the side was see through and their was material but anyone in their right mind would know that a FORMAL dress could not fit in such a small envelope. I advised After5formals prior to the material (don't believe it was a full dress) showing up and after the wedding that I would not accept it knowing that possession is 9/10 of the law. I will eventually get my money back and take down this business. I looked up my order just today and it still states "open". I don't think they know what to do with me! This company needs to be taken off the web. We need to stand up here in the United States and not let the likes of a China company do this to us.
