My first experience with ThredUp was as a buyer. I thought it was great. I decided that instead of bringing my items to good will, I could send them to Thred Up in the bag they provided with my order and maybe get a bit of extra cash for a rainy day. It took a month for them to process. I sent items from Cache, BCBG, Abercrombie & Fitch...I also sent in things from Rue 21, Old Navy, Fetish and Urban behavior. All in great condition! Well, the items that showed up on the site were from Rue 21, Old Navy, Fetish and Urban behavior but Cache, BCBG and Abercrombie & Fitch weren't sold on the site! I didn't get paid out for my high end brands and got pennies for my lower end brands. I got a grand total of $10.41. They paid out 70Cents for a dress! 65Cents for a pair of Fetish Jeans! 65Cents for an Old Navy Sweater! Unbelievable! Those are not great pay outs like they make you believe you will get. I would have rather them gone to good will. I may not have gotten anything from good will but at least I know the items were appreciated. Lesson learned!
