Having rentals, I decided to do a search on a potential renter and found a "public records search service" at "instantcheckmate.com". After entering the data required for the search, I found out that the charge was prohibitive and decided to exit. In doing so a $1.00 trial offer came up and I opted to try it. The information was useless. They billed my credit card $1.00 and then several month later scammed me for $29.63.
