The first time that I pawned my laptop I was instructed to turn it on. At that time the manager told me that "all that I have to see is that it turns on" I demonstrated that it did turn on but did not open any programs. I was then directed to reset the password and give it to them, which I did. The last time that I pawned it, the employee told me that she just had to see it turn on so I again turned it on and was told to reset the password and give it to them, which I did. When I returned for my laptop I opened the case and a small container holding thumb drives fell out of the case. The thumb drives were secured in a pocket that was physically impossible for them to fall out of. They are actually difficult to remove when I want them. I then turned on my computer and there were six windows open with two update windows also open. Some of the windows were for a program that I have never used or even looked at. My photos were open and one was enlarged. My laptop has a nearly perfect battery that does not lose any power when turned off. I took my computer off of the charger to take it in for a loan and the battery was 100% charged. Yet the battery was at 34% charge. When I began pointing out that someone had definitely been in my computer the manager interrupted me and snapped that "NONE OF MY CREW DOES ANYTHING LIKE THAT AND I CAN VOUCH FOR THEM!" Each time that I tried to explain how and why I was positive that someone had been in my computer she interrupted me getting louder and angrier each time. When I repeatedly told her that programs were open that I had never even opened, used or looked at she lied and said “WE LOOKED AT THOSE THINGS WHEN YOU BROUGHT IT IN!” Even though at the times that it was brought in they not only hadn’t looked at anything other than the fact that it started but it had been clearly stated each time that “We only have to see it start” I also pointed out that one time that I was there that she had confronted one of the young men that works there for inappropriately using someones speaker as a stool. Yet she was adamant that no one would get in my computer when I am POSITIVE that someone had been in it. She would not even let me explain or respond and she would not even look at my computer. When I pointed out that she wasn't even listening to me she interrupted me saying "I'm listening!" I said "No you aren't. You have interrupted me every time that I have spoken" She then went about her business and ignored me standing there. I said in the future I would do business elsewhere and I left the premises.
